Plagiarism, Retractions and Post-Publication Corrections Policy
The Journal of Latin American Pediatric Dentistry is committed to guarantee the integrity and originality of the papers published. To this end, it establishes the following policies:
- Plagiarism: All manuscripts will be subjected to plagiarism detection by means of specialized software before peer review. Total or partial copying of previous work without proper citation will be considered as serious offenses. In case of confirmed plagiarism, the article will be rejected and the authors and their institutions will be notified. Examples: CopySpider; Grammarly; Plagiarism.
- Retractions: If an ethical violation is detected after publication, such as data manipulation or plagiarism, the article will be retracted and an explanatory note will be published in the journal.
- Corrections: Any errors in data, methodology or interpretation identified after publication may be corrected by errata or formal correction, as appropriate.
The Journal of Latin American Pediatric Dentistry maintains a firm commitment to academic and scientific integrity, adopting the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (Committee on Publicaction Ethics COPE https://publicationethics.org ) and (World Association of Medical Editors WAME http://wame.org/recommendations-on-publication-ethics-policies-for-medical-journals ). Therefore, plagiarism of any kind, whether textual, self-plagiarism, plagiarism of data, images or any form of misappropriation of content, will not be tolerated. All manuscripts submitted to the journal will be reviewed using specialized digital tools and a rigorous editorial evaluation process to detect possible infringements. If plagiarism is identified, corrective action will be taken, which may include rejection of the manuscript, retraction of published articles and, if appropriate, notification of the authors' affiliated institutions. The journal encourages originality in contributions and expects authors to adhere to the highest ethical standards in the production of their papers.
Retractions and Post-publication Corrections
The Revista de Odontopediatría Latinoamericana adheres to the CrossMark policy to provide readers with a standard way to locate the current version of an article's content and is committed to maintaining the content it publishes and alerting readers to possible changes as well as retractions.
