The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a universal call for action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity(UNDP-United Nations Development Programme, 2019a); 17 cross-cutting goals oriented to the countries that adopt them, in meeting the targets to achieve them.
