EditorialAbstract
The prevalence and distribution of oral diseases affecting our Latin American children has been under-reported in comparison to other populations. This lag in the production of scientific information could be attributed to the difficulties inherent in the development of research projects for developing countries, coupled with the difficulty of funding them. On the other hand, it is possible that important, interesting and high quality projects are being generated, but their dissemination has not yet been massive. As a region, we must work harder to make the product of our research more visible.
