Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. Directrices del autor/a, que aparecen en Acerca de la revista.
Editorial
Written by the editor or guest author, where a topic of special importance for pediatric dentistry is discussed, including its institutional issues.
Original Research Articles
Original research carried out on topics of interest to the specialty. Includes qualitative and quantitative studies, observational studies, case-control studies, cohort studies, clinical trials.
Systematic Review and Meta-analysis
Critical and structured evaluation of the literature, responds to an objective with a clear search strategy that assesses the quality of the evidence, presenting a qualitative or quantitative summary.
Narrative Reviews
Updated review of the literature that explores, describes, and discusses a specific topic, including different sources of information, facilitating its understanding.
Case report
Presentation of cases of interest to the specialty, with novel and outstanding aspects. Includes single cases and case series.
Epidemiological Reports
Report and description of updated epidemiological data related to oral health in the pediatric population, in which the most relevant figures are highlighted.
Inter-institutional collaboration
Publication and dissemination of guidelines or information derived from international consensus, signed by the Latin American Association of Pediatric Dentistry
Letters to the Editor
Observations on published articles, always based on referenced scientific evidence.
